Martin and I began discussing this around Christmas last year. We
thought hard about mentioning it to EC but were afraid that she might
simply expire under the weight of her obligations. We were thinking, if I
remember correctly (and I was quite saturated at the time with
carbohydrates, fats, sugars and beer if I remember *that* correctly) that
it should be done in html. So many recipes simply beg a link to other
recipes or information (how to temper chocolate or pick good
vegetables...). It sounds as if our EC feels ready to take on the task
once again! It also sounds as if there might be a multitude of Cookbook
Minions to whom she could delegate various odious tasks. I imagine there
are some of us who have access to burners for CD's.

It seems to me that you have a wealth of information about tequila and
various things to do with it...

It is perfectly acceptable to "cook" dinner by making reservations at the
appropriate restaurant. In the same way, it is perfectly acceptable to
put forth wonderful recipes in the hopes that some foo^H^H^Hhelpful soul
will actually produce the lovely stuff.

I already have it. And the recipe for wonderful Junk Chili. I suppose I
could be made to part with both, but only to a Genuine WetLeather
Cookbook.

I seem to recall that Laura Lemay wrote a good HTML book; I taught myself
by studying other folks' pages. I've been using Navigator Gold for an
HTML editor, and really like it. But you're a little late if you're
thinking about webbing the WetLeather cookbook. I've already done it,
and all I need to do is to find my scans of the pictures before I can
post it... Heh heh heh...

Not the _last_ one (though I'm now quite looking forward to seeing it),
the _next_ one. It'll give me a chance to get my feet wet before I start
my "Hundred and One Uses for a Dead Turkey" cookbook.

BOOK FIGHT! BOOK FIGHT! (When editors duel, what are the traditional weapons?)

I propose we take a vote. If I lose, I'll concede gracefully, if I win,
I'll gladly host four or five victory celebrations.

This sort of project is a TON of work. Why not divide it up? Each
of you do some chapters/categories? I volunteer to taste test any
desserts.
